Photoshop CC tutorial 2: Adjusting colours
Colour balance in Photoshop CC
File > Open > Photoshop Exercise Files > Adjustments > Colour Balance 1.jpg.
Image > Adjustments > Color Balance.
Adjust the sliders to enhance the image.
Note: This image needs the yellows taken down. Make sure you adjust the Shadows, Midtones & Highlights. Continually turn the Preview tick on and off to see how you are doing.
Hue and saturation in Photoshop CC.
File > Open > Photoshop Exercise Files > Adjustments > Hue & Saturation 1.jpg.
Image > Adjustments > Hue & Saturation
Play with the Hue & Saturation sliders.
Note: Colorize will force colour onto an image when there is none. This is great for black and white photographs.
Selectively adjusting hues
The above function can be too broad. Follow the details below for more control over colours.
File > Open > Photoshop Exercise Files > Adjustments > Selective Hue 1.jpg.
Image > Adjustments > Hue & Saturation.
Under the drop down Master choose Reds. This will allow you to adjust only the reds in the image.
